Veterinarians
We currently have four veterinarians on staff. We are proud of our medicine and surgery and are fortunate to have a good working relationship with specialists that consult on and help handle more difficult cases.

Dr. Munschauer was born and raised in Buffalo, NY and has spent most of his life waiting for the Buffalo Bills to win a Super Bowl. He is a graduate of the University of Vermont (1975) and the New York State College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University (1979). He practiced in Western New York and Manhattan before coming to Middlebury in 1986. He has been active in the Vermont Veterinary Medical Association, serving two terms as President and now as the Alternate Delegate to the American Veterinary Medical Association from Vermont. |

Scott Sutor, D.V.M. |

Dr. Sutor grew up in a small Minnesota town near Laura Ingall’s little house on the prairie and went on to receive a B.S. degree from St. Olaf College in 1983. He dreamt of careers in baseball and accounting before attending and graduating from the College of Veterinary Medicine at Cornell University in 1997. He claims a talent for pick-up basketball. Of late his main hobby is graying prematurely. |

Dr. Doran hails from the Great Garden State. He lived in Philadelphia for 10 years, receiving a Masters in Laboratory Animal Science in 1993 and his veterinary degree in 1998 from the University of Pennsylvania. He spent time at the Audubon Zoo in New Orleans and the Virginia Wildlife Center and continues to have a special interest in treating birds, reptiles, and small mammals. He moved to Vermont in 2007 with his amazing children and better half, Dr. Tracy Winters. |

Dr. Winters was raised in a small town in upstate New York. She received her B.S. degree from Cornell University in 1986 and her veterinary degree from the University of Pennsylvania in 1997. Following graduation, she completed an internship at the prestigious Animal Medical Center in New York City. Her love of veterinary medicine and her patients has resulted in an extended family of NYC cats and a fantastic dog found on the subway. She has two wonderful children and a loving, supportive and brilliant husband (Dr. Mark Doran).
